According to this article, SURF algorithm is marked as patented in Europe. Therefore, since I'm planning to use it in my company commercially, I would like to know if there is any reliable way to avoid dealing with copyrights stuff.
I'm currently using SURF with the GPU OpenCV library. So, is that okay if the final code the company is using calls this library for SURF?
PS: I'm aware that there is a bunch of [NO-patented-SURF-SIFT]-based algorithms such as BRISK, ORB and so on... But I'm not interested.
