John Talbott was an ancestor of mine. I have in my possession an original patent with drawings witnessed by W.T. Otto, acting Secretary of the Interior and David S. Fisher, commissioner of patents. This is dated July 6, 1869. Does anyone have any suggetions as to what I should do with it?? I am up in years and have no heirs.

As a patent, it has expired by over a hundred years. As a family keepsake and a piece of history - it is priceless. –  Ron J. Apr 19 '14 at 13:01
