Can a company use the idea/model/ of an expired utility patent to create the same type of model that the original granted patent had.Can they legally sell this product to consumers?Thank you

The claims can no longer be asserted. That doesn't mean that any particular embodiment in the specification is free of all patent claims. If the patent expired at the end of its 20 year or 17 year time and there are no still valid "child" patents, then you might have some confidence in moving forward. –  George White Apr 23 at 2:52
