Any Prior Art on Mobile App Code Generators? @bigtunacan: If you read the patent, particularly Claim 1, there are specific characteristics of the code generation (e.g., user chooses an application category, which determines a set of modules that the user can then choose from) that developer-focused code generators typically will not meet. PhoneGap certainly doesn't. |

Searching for US Provisional Patents OK, that worked. Thanks! Though I find it curious that I am not seeing claims construction in the provisional patent application. I was under the impression that you had claims in one of those too. |

Searching for US Provisional Patents Gadzooks, it'd be nice if the USPTO spoke ordinary English... Thanks! |

Searching for US Provisional Patents That brings up the patent, which cites the provisional patent application. However, the search does not bring up the provisional patent application itself, unless I am missing something. Thanks, though! |

Any Prior Art on Mobile App Code Generators? Does GLBasic offer a code generator? If not, I fail to see how it is prior art for this patent. |

Any Prior Art on Mobile App Code Generators? None of these are code generators. Also, Java Swing is not used on mobile devices (at least as far as "mobile devices" is generally used as a term and for the sorts of "mobile devices" you think of nowadays). It is possible that there is a Qt code generator that powers mobile devices that might be relevant, though we'd need to track one down. Any code generators targeting PhoneGap would be relevant, assuming it was before the February 14, 2012 filing date. Regardless, thanks for the contribution! |
